Solar Panel Calculator — calculation method
Enter average monthly use and roof area — the calculator picks the panel count and inverter, then shows yearly output and payback time. For installers, SiteHub builds such a calculator into your website with your own prices and equipment.
- Required power = yearly use × coverage ÷ specific yield (kWh/kWp).
- Output is adjusted for orientation (south, east-west) and roof pitch.
- Panel count is capped by the real roof area, including service gaps.

How accurate is it?
It is an initial estimate based on the assumptions shown on the page. The final design follows a site visit and real roof data.

Frequently asked questions
Are the demo prices your prices?
No. SiteHub builds software and does not sell roofing, furniture or glass. Demo prices, norms and materials are configurable demo values; in your project they come from your catalogue and price list.
Can I change prices and rules without a developer?
Yes. Materials, prices and norms live in a separate configuration that we connect to your admin panel in the project.
Does it work with OpenCart or WooCommerce?
Yes. The configurator passes the product with chosen options and the final price is recalculated on the shop server.
Must a visitor leave a phone number to see the result?
No. The result and estimate are visible immediately. A request is a separate, voluntary step and the configuration is attached automatically.
Does the 3D work on phones?
Yes, on WebGL-capable devices. The scene loads only when a demo opens, renders on demand and frees memory on close. Without WebGL the calculation stays available.
